TREE OF LIGHTS CAMPAIGN
Thank you for supporting our 2024 Tree of Lights Campaign!
It’s something we often take for granted – having an emergency department so close to home. But imagine if you were experiencing medical distress and had to travel even longer to get the care you need? When every second counts, we are fortunate to have the equipment and lifesaving services at St. Francis Memorial Hospital.
This past holiday season, with the help of an incredible volunteer team, the St. Francis Valley Healthcare Foundation mailed out over 3,000 Tree of Lights letters to our donors. This letter highlighted the story of Diana Shulist, who learned she was having a heart attack at St. Francis’ emergency department. She was stabilized and sent to Ottawa for surgery. Today, she is doing better than ever and credits her health to the quick actions taken at her local emerge.
Funds from the Tree of Lights Campaign will go toward the redevelopment of our emergency department and renovation of our hospital’s ambulatory care clinic. This critical project will address a number of concerns, including privacy, space, infection control and occupational health & safety.
Thanks to our donors, we are thrilled to announce that our 2024 Tree of Lights Campaign raised an astounding $141,316 for the redevelopment of our emergency department and renovation of our ambulatory care clinic.
We could not do the work that we do without our incredible donors. The Foundation remains committed to our mission and looks forward to another successful year ahead, raising funds for St. Francis Memorial Hospital, Madawaska Valley Hospice Palliative Care and Valley Manor.
Stay tuned for our Tree of Lights 2025 Campaign!
